Design Assistant at an Architecture and Interior Design Firm (2024 – current)

Hi, I’m Renée! I spent ten years working in operations and marketing before changing careers to follow my passion for Architecture and Design. I love the creativity and problem-solving this field allows, and I’m excited to bring both to every project I work on.

Today, I’m a Design Assistant at an architecture and interior design firm in Boulder. My role includes managing the material library, assisting with finish selections (from lighting, to surfaces, to hardware and plumbing), performing onsite visits, collaborating with vendors, staging photo shoots, and designing in Revit. I’m also proud to be a member of ASID and IDS, connecting with a community of design professionals and staying engaged with industry trends.

Education has always been important to me, alongside hands-on experience. After completing the accredited graduate-level UCLA Interior Design Foundation Certificate program, I’ve gained a strong foundation in:

• AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp & Enscape

• Commercial & Residential Interior Architecture
• History of Interior Design

• Hand Drafting and Sketching

• Surface Materials
