Design Assistant at an Architecture and Interior Design Firm (2024 – current)

Hi, I’m Renée! After earning my B.A. in Psychology, I spent ten years working in operations and marketing before deciding to follow my passion for Architecture and Design. I love the creativity and problem-solving this field allows, and I’m excited to bring both to every project I work on. I’m also proud to be a member of ASID and IDS, connecting with a community of design professionals and staying engaged with industry trends.

I first entered the industry as a Designer at Crate & Barrel, where I provided in-home consultations, created floor plans, and presented custom furniture proposals. Today, I’m a Design Assistant at an architecture and interior design firm in Boulder. My role includes managing the material library, assisting with finish selections (from lighting, to surfaces, to hardware and plumbing), performing onsite visits, collaborating with vendors, staging photo shoots, and designing in Adobe Creative Suite and Revit.

Education has always been important to me, alongside hands-on experience. After completely the accredited graduate-level UCLA Interior Design Foundation Certificate program, I’ve gained a strong foundation in:
